When It Doesn’t Rain It Pours

It being some more concrete, in this case. We’re looking to pour the grade beams for the foundation tomorrow/Wednesday morning, October 16th. So if you see a convoy of concrete trucks tooling up Chestnut, you’ll know why.

It’ll be interesting to see how this will get done. I presume they’ll use a concrete pump like they did to fill the pier holes. But I’m not sure. Either way, it’ll be interesting to watch.

I have to say I think pumping concrete is a lot easier than the way I’m used to using it, i.e., mixing it up by hand in a wheelbarrow, pushing it to the fill location, and then dumping or shoveling it in. That stuff is dense!
