No, we’re not prospecting for fluid hydrocarbons at 286. But we are getting ready to drill the holes that will contain the concrete posts which will support the foundation. So expect to see a big, honking auger on-site later this week, or possibly early next week.

This will also give anyone who is curious — like me — the chance to see what the soil’s like several feet down. Because the borings are going to go down a fair bit, I think about 8 to 12 feet. It should create some impressive piles of dirt!

BTW, I’ll post some pictures of the demolition effort that was done, and maybe a video, in a couple of days.
