I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid I loved to play in the sandbox with toy dump trucks, backhoes and excavators. This Thursday and Friday, September 26th and 27th, I’ll get to see them in action up close and personal. Because that’s when they’ll be clearing the existing structures, trees, etc at 286 Chestnut.
The equipment to be used will be:
- a Bobcat
- a medium-sized excavator
- two or three dump trucks to haul away debris
Needless to say, this will be a video and photo op I won’t let go to waste!
It’ll also be one of the noisiest parts of the project. But it will be over pretty quickly. The plan is for the house and garage to be razed to the foundations on Thursday, with their foundations and the concrete driveway/patio removed on Friday.
Oh, and if you see a guy lurking around the site with purple feet on Friday it’s just my contractor, Rich Silvestri, coming from his wine making project… 🙂
